Pet Anesthesia Services

At Animal Dental Specialists in Pelham, Alabama, we prioritize patient safety and comfort in every procedure. Our team provides carefully managed anesthesia to minimize stress and promote a smooth recovery for your pet. Each anesthetic and pain management plan is customized to your pet’s age, breed, medical history, and health status.

To ensure the highest standard of care, every anesthetized patient is continuously monitored by a dedicated licensed veterinary technician (RVT) throughout the entire procedure. For pets who may benefit from an added level of expertise, we also offer collaboration with a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist™ through our partnership with My Anesthesiologist™.

Board-Certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist Services

Anesthesia Consultation

During an anesthesia consultation, the veterinary anesthesiologist performs a comprehensive review of your pet’s medical records, physical examination findings, and diagnostic results. They then develop a customized anesthesia protocol and work directly with the Animal Dental Specialists team to communicate and implement a safe, individualized anesthetic plan.

Continuous Livestream Anesthesia Monitoring

For senior pets or patients with underlying conditions such as heart or respiratory disease, continuous livestream monitoring by a veterinary anesthesiologist may be recommended. Through real-time access to anesthesia monitoring equipment, the board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist™ can remotely assess critical parameters, including blood pressure, EKG, ventilation, respiratory rate, oxygenation, and body temperature, and provide ongoing guidance to the attending RVT anesthetist before, during, and after the procedure.

When a Veterinary Anesthesiologist May Be Recommended
